Hardy Glass Rod

Hardy Glass Rod

Last week I fished the Hardy Stream 3 wt. 7 Ft. rod for the first time. This rod is the real deal it makes the short cast easy and has the power to make the 35 ft. cast. I tested the rod out on the Elk river in W.V. The rod loads so easy and is so smooth. I landed many fish in the 3 to 4 lbs. class on the rod using 7x tippet. The rod is a great rod for fishing small dry flies on light tippet because of the flex and has the backbone for those bigger fish. Hardy has made this rod to cast with just inches of line out with accuracy. This rod was made for fishing that small to medium stream. Hardy has made this rod with the old style classic reel seat and handle and rings. The rod comes in a 2 pc. only but at 7 ft that is not a problem for transit. The rod tube has also it’s own rod bag and the rod has a rod bag. I myself have been a graghite man but this rod has changed me. Check out www.flyfishohio.com also on the report on the 5 wt. I can”t wait to try out the 2 wt.
Tight Lines,
