Originally designed for salmon and sea trout rivers, two handed rods now fill many traditional roles such as salt water striped bass and trout applications. Advances in double-handed casting techniques and improved specialty fly lines call for rods which can be used for both Spey and overhead styles. Whether an angler is on the hunt for giant king salmon in Bristol Bay, Baltic salmon in Scandinavian rivers or steelhead on classic North American rivers, elegantly-crafted Thomas & Thomas two handed rods are designed to meet the needs of all contemporary casting styles. Our selection of models from 10' to 17', in weights from #6 to #11 includes at least two lengths in each weight class, plus a 12 foot, 12 weight rod designed for shooting head configurations. All rods are furnished with a big game anodized aluminum reel seat and two-handed grip.
